Have you ever purchased a course offering you a solution to obtaining the life of your dreams?
To make a 6 figure income doing what you love, to give you the skills needed to make it out there.
You might have too.
They promise you things are possible and declare that they work because celebrities use them.
They might say they came from a bad place and still made it.
The story is the same usually.
It’s a promise of a brighter future.
With the byline “By the way you need to work hard”.
Now, its true you do need to do hard work.
There is no avoiding that.
The principles they teach are no doubt what really does work.
I use them all the time.
However, there are those days when you wonder if you should invest that other $500 bucks toward that next conference, that next online course, that next step to grow your business.
You buy it. You grow, but only slightly.
Then you start to come to that feeling that maybe these things aren’t worth it.
But, you maintain the love you have for the courses you have taken. You love the one piece you got that made it worth it.
Yet, you can’t deny the feeling you have toward each course you purchase every time.
There is something much more sinister here.
Stockholm syndrome, the condition where a victim falls in love with their captor.
In this case, you allowed yourself to be captured though making a purchase.
The purchase itself locks you in and makes it a prison.
In the end, what do you do?
You have to make the situation work out.
You choose to make the best of the situation. Make use of one bit of good information and make it count. And thank the captor, the one who gave the course, the credit. In essence, the captor.
This is a danger that exists. For me, I am constantly wary of this and make my purchases very strategically.
I’m not saying that the courses aren’t worth it. I’m saying that for me, I’m going to make sure I am buying the right course and not fall in love with just any big shot out there.
Fall in love with the big shot that works well for you and gives you consistent tangible results.
